1 – 3 May: Incoming trade mission Virginia, USA
From the 1st to 3rd of May the NEC will organise an incoming trade mission from Virginia, which consists of approximately 10 companies from different sectors. One of those innovative companies has developed a new WiFi technology, named LiFi. The LiFi works on the basis of a light source (for example by means of a special lamp placed on the ceiling). LiFi is much faster than WiFi and works only in the environment of the previously mentioned light source. Therefore the via LiFi transferred information cannot be intercepted or received outside the radius of the light source or the building in which the light source is situated. This new technology offers a large number of security advantages for data sent via LiFi.
Further information about the other companies in this trade delegation can be requested by Joost van Dam.
